The object is to provide a detailed description of the feeding habits of both deep-water red shrimps in the Eastern Ionian, in relation to season, size and sex. New information concerning its feeding patterns provides greater insight concerning the population ecology of these important and unexploited resources of the Greek Seas. In addition, such data could serve in the comparison of its life history traits along the Mediterranean.
